Author Bio & Info:
Aimee Brown is a writer of romantic comedies set in Portland, Oregon, and an avid reader. She spends much of her time writing, raising three teenagers, binge-watching shows on Netflix and obsessively cleaning and redecorating her house. She’s fluent in sarcasm and has been known to utter profanities like she’s competing for a medal.
Aimee grew up in Oregon, but is now a transplant living in cold Montana with her husband of twenty years, three teenage children, and far too many pets. She is a lot older than she looks and yes, that is a tattoo across her chest. (In the Portlandia spirit, yes, I lived many years in PDX and I do indeed have a bird tattooed on me (2!))
Aimee is very active on social media. You can find her at any of the networks below. Stop by and say hello!
Questions I’m often asked:
Is that a tattoo on your chest? Yes, it is. All the way across from armpit to armpit. It is decorative vines with a sparrow on each side. I also have outlined chrysanthemums all down my left arm. When my arm is finished it will be a 3/4 sleeve of flowers, the wind, and air. I like tattoos. I like that my tattoos are a part of my history and who I am.
You don’t look very old, how old are you? Ah yes, the question every woman loves. I’m 39 years old. I’ve been married 20 years. I have three kids ages 19, 18 and 13. And yes, my profile picture was taken in June of 2017. I’ve got young genes. I’m lucky that way. I hope to look young forever.
What are you writing now? I’ve had a hard time marrying any of the ideas I’ve started in the last three months. But, fortunately, after creating a gazillion characters and storylines in my head while I shower, sleep, and clean, I’ve come up with one that is flowing easily. I can’t wait to bring it to you.
When is your next book coming out? My second book is being released in late 2018, stay tuned. It’s another set in PDX and you will LOVE it.
Will there be a sequel to Little Gray Dress? And if so, please can it be about Liam? Yes. Actually, I’ve outlined the sequel of Little Gray Dress and hope to start it soon. I’ve also just started jotting some ideas for a spin-off all about Liam (cause Lord knows I’m in love with him too!)
I think Little Gray Dress would make a fabulous movie, what do you think? Obviously, I think you’re a freaking genius. What author doesn’t think their book would be a fabulous movie? I’ve even thought of who to cast if it ever did (not that they’d let me choose the cast, but I have high hopes that one day I’ll finally make out with meet Josh Duhamel – he’d be cast as Liam, of course.) BTW… yes the movie rights are available… ya know, in case you’re wondering or something. (as I said, high hopes)
